Numicon - Often asked by parents for help with numeracy for their children?
The Numicon Intervention Programme is ideal for SPELD tutors, RTLB's and SENCO's. Numicon is a multi-sensory approach to numeracy. Shapes give a 'picture' of a number that leads students into understanding numbers. Activities show students how to 'see' numbers in relationship to each other. Tutors can 'see' what students are thinking and they can 'see' what you are talking about. Numicon is written for students 3-8 years of age, though older children love to use it. Schools use it with their maths programme especially for students struggling with classroom maths. Numicon is a successful resource for all tutors/teachers for all students. Tutors/teachers all report fantastic results.

Learning Skill 4 Kids provides specialised learning programmes for children. The programmes are designed by experienced occupational therapists and speech-language therapists covering a vast range of skills. These programmes aim to develop the important foundation and underpinning skills for learning. Our goal is to boost the child's visual and auditory memory, fine motor, handwriting, phonemic awareness, maths and learning skills. They are easy to use and can be used by parents, teachers, RTLB's, tutors, teacher aids etc, with children on a daily basis.

SPELD - For over 40 years we have been involved in working to help those with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD)/Dyslexia. Our trained professionals have helped thousands of people to reach their potential by recognising their individual difficulties; providing individual assessments and tuition; training teachers to teach those with SLD; raising awareness in the community; raising funds to assist those who cannot afford additional tuition. Most of the work in running our organisation is undertaken by volunteers who collectively contribute hundreds of hours per week to helping those with SLD/Dyslexia.
We have developed two NZQA approved courses: one for teacher training and one for parents and whanau, teacher aides and other interested people. Our Level 5 NZQA Accredited Course (Certificate Course in Specific Learning Difficulties) is now run in association with Aoraki Polytechnic. Participants can select to study the course online or face-to-face.
