Invitation

We have pleasure in inviting you to join us at the Palmerston North Convention Centre 5-7 October for the SPELD NZ National Conference. This year’s theme is ‘Learning for Living; Living for Learning’. The focus is to assist young people and adults to gain learning skills (learning for living) assisted by committed and dedicated professionals; SPELD teachers and assessors (living for learning).
As a not-for-profit organisation we are also assisted by loyal volunteers, many of them parents of Speld students and this year’s conference will have opportunities for students, parents, SPELD professionals and classroom teachers to develop skills and understanding to assist our SLD learners throughout their lives. We will also be providing support for SLD youth with our Youth forum to be held on Saturday.

Our speakers will provide hands on opportunities for those working with SPELD students to improve their skills and understanding of the needs of SLD.
